Child With Autism Failed By State & School

This story really makes me angry!  First, the state takes custody of the child away from the parents because they lightly tether him so that he will not run away.  Then the school, "who in previous years placed a tether on him between classes," fails to keep an eye on him during recess and he squeezes between the bars of a playground fence.  This poor boy, Joshua Robb, (according to Huffington Post) was lost in the San Bernardino Mountains for 24 hours.  It is an absolutely a miracle this child was found alive and well.  The title of this article could very well have been, "Parents Lost Custody For Using The Same Practice The School Had To Use On Their Child", or "Child With Autism Failed First By Mortgage Industry, Then State and Lastly School".  So many variables were overlooked and this situation, although it turned out well, could have been devastating.  Thank God Joshua's guardian angels were working overtime.
